    300 BLK 150gr FMJ-BT COAL

One is loaded at 2.075" and the other at 2.235". That 2.235" is the only load data I have for CFE BLK. Doesn't leave much bullet in the case. Only about 0.100" not counting the boat tail since it is not a bearing surface on the neck.

Might have found my mistake. I got the load data from Hodgdon's website and it says it is for a 150gr Hornady IB. Apparently there is a difference between their FMJ-BT and IB. IB probably doesn't have a boat tail.

Actually looks like it is a longer bullet with a tip. Looks like I won't be loading them with CFE BLK.

Note to self... Not all 150gr bullets are created equal...

Most people just load them to the cannelure.

That's what I did with the Hornday load data for H110, Enforcer, and Lil Gun. But I had the H110, Lil Gun, and CFE BLK from Hodgdon with a longer OAL and higher max charges so I didn't want to seat at the short depth. I suppose I still could and just reduce the max and watch for pressure signs as I work up.
